Mail from New York!

In 2013 I authored my first UN report and today I found to my great suprise an envelope from the headquarters of UNFPA in New York on my doorstep with a hardcopy!

This afternoon I opened my mailbox and I found to my great surprise an envelope from the UNFPA in New York! In 2013, I was invited by Nafissatou J. Diop (Coordinator UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme on FGM/C: Accelerating Change) to write a paper about FGM/C. Together with Rene Desiderio from Fordham University, I conducted a research on the implementation of the human rights framework in relation to Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting in five African countries including Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya and Senegal. The paper was already online available in English and French, but today I received a hardcopy. It is great to see and feel the work that we have done in a real printed paper! The design is absolutely beautiful. Thanks Nafy and Rene, I really enjoyed working with you!
