I co-organized a webinar entitled ‘Female Genital Mutilation Protection Orders: A British Legal Remedy to be Rolled out in other EU Countries?’ together with Dr. Charlotte Proudman (research fellow at Cambridge and barrister at Goldsmith Chambers) and Chiara Cosentino (End FGM European Network).

In June 2020 I was interviewed by journalist, colleague and friend Lizan Nijkrake about the impact of Covid-19 on efforts to end FGM/C. When I shared with her that I organized a webinar series on this topic and that two million extra girls are at risk because of the pandemic, she immediately became very interested and draw up a very nice article.

Together with my friend and colleague Istahil Abdulahi, an amazing women and survivor of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting, I gave a guest lecture for students at Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
