The 6th of February 2018, I was interviewed by NPO Radio 1 during the morning programme 'this is the night' (dit is de nacht) about my work. The interviewer (Willem de Gelder) was well prepared and informed, resulting in a really nice interview. The interview (about 10 minutes) focused on the legal aspects of FGM in the African context. In addition, during the interview I explained the differences and similarities between male circumcision and FGM/C, the worldwide prevalence of FGM/C, the different types, how the practice is performed and the the reasons for FGM/C.
