The 6th of February 2019, I was on Dutch TV in the television program 'Koffietijd!'. After the live broadcast on TV, the program made a short clip which they shared via social media. In this clip, I provide an answer to the question "What is Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting?" In my 1.5 minute answer (in Dutch), I explain that FGM/C is a traditional practice (and not a religious practice), I elaborate on the different types of FGM/C as well as the consequences of the practice for girls and women throughout their lives.
